Darren Nye owns Nye Technology Services (www.nyetech.com), providing On-Demand Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Marketing Technology Officer (CMTO) Services; otherwise known as a Virtual CTO NJ or Virtual CMTO NJ.
Darren has over 25 years of professional experience in strategizing and leading digital/interactive marketing initiatives including: building responsive websites, content management systems, SEO/SEM, e-commerce, social media, mobile apps (iPad/Android devices), email marketing, video and motion graphics. In addition, he has also designed and managed global corporate networks and systems in addition to performing as an enterprise e-business architect.
Darren excels at project and product management, team leadership, client/vendor relationships, needs analysis, requirements gathering, budgeting, P&L, proposals, presentations and contract negotiations for global projects and cross-functional teams. He has performed leadership roles in small companies and large enterprises. And he’s fluent at creating technology strategy, architectures, processes and standards. He has also participated in the creation of brand identity and marketing campaigns, and analyzing results — proving a return on investment.
He has managed international teams consisting of 20 direct reports, as well as up to 200 volunteers. And he’s managed projects and technologies valued over three million. To accomplish his projects, Darren utilizes full SDLC waterfall and agile/scrum methodologies.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his partner Patrick. Hobbies are flying (private pilot), directing plays/theatre, camping, travel, cruise ships, motorcycles, fast cars, jeeps and SCUBA. He was also a member of a volunteer fire department for over 10 years, serving as both President and Engineer of a Truck and Engine company.
